Symptoms of Uterus Cancer

Posted: Dec 23, 2010 |

Cancer like any other, is a disease in which cells in the body grow out of control. The uterus cancer is caused in the same way of the other cancers. Three or four geneses don't funcion and they start a cancer into the cell. The cell create some copyes of itself and the group of illy cells are going to be a tumour.

The most important thing that u should know is that Uterus Cancer is the most curable Gynecologic cancer.

Most cases can be diagnosed by an office endometrial biopsy. This simple procedure takes only a few minutes to perform and causes minimal discomfort. Some patients may require a D & C (scraping the inner lining of the uterus) and hysteroscopy (looking into the uterus with a small telescope) to make the diagnosis. These procedures are usually done as an outpatient in a same day surgery center.

There is a good chance of a cure if cancer is diagnosed and treated when the disease is at an early stage ( has not spread). Many cases are diagnosed at an early stage because abnormal vaginal bleeding often develops at an early stage of the disease and alerts women and doctor to the possibility of cancer.

For women who are diagnosed when the cancer has already spread, a cure is less likely but still possible. Even if a cure is not possible, treatment can often slow down the progression of the cancer.  The treatment of cancer is a developing area of medicine. New treatments continue to be developed and the information on outlook above is very general. The specialist who knows your case can give more accurate information about your particular outlook, and how well your type and stage of cancer is likely to respond to treatment.
