How to Make Six Figures

For most people, earning a comfortable living is at the top of their priority list.  There are several ways to achieve this level of wealth, including taking a job in a nontraditional arena.

For instance, the field of technology is one that continues to grow.  Careers in the high technology sector can command hefty salaries, thanks to the level of knowledge required.  Interactive specialties such as web design, information architecture, and usability are particularly on the rise.  Web producers and electrical engineers (especially engineering managers) can easily earn up to six figures.

The entertainment and hospitality field is another area that offers room for growth.  While most people do not view a career in the restaurant business as necessarily profitable, restaurant managers for upscale dining establishments as well as high-end resorts can reach the six-figure salary mark.  Casino managers can also earn big money, even without a college degree.  This is one area in which experience is the most important factor in determining the level of salary that workers can negotiate.

Security and hazard duty jobs are also positions that can earn high level of income.  Security professionals, which generally refers to security guards for elite personnel such as celebrities or athletes, can expect to earn six figures due to the risk involved with their job.  Likewise, oil rig workers can earn just as much because of the level of danger inherent with their positions.

A less risky but still comfortable option for earning six figures is to take a job working for the federal government.  Middle management jobs n the public sector are more profitable than the same positions in the private sector.  In addition, federal jobs offer other perks such as flexibility and a wide range of benefits.

It is clear that there are several options when it comes to finding a job that can earn six figures or more.
