Looking for temporary jobs in Bristol

With the recession hitting harder than ever, more and more companies are opting for temporary staff in favour of permanent staff, meaning less financial commitments for them and a large surge of temporary jobs available for the job seeker. This may not sound particularly attractive to those of you looking for permanent jobs, but for those of you looking for temporary work, the Bristol job market is a flow with variety and choice. Temporary jobs may be the more preferable choice for some job seekers, meaning no long term employment commitments and variety in where you work and who you work with. Students, travelling holiday workers and gap year workers, to name just a few can all benefit from this type of employment. With its very own University, Bristol has no shortage of temporary workers and there is by no means a shortage in temporary work available either.

There are jobs available in Bristol across the spectrum ranging from healthcare and bar work through to office and administration roles. Christmas is also nearly upon us meaning a surge in the usual annual temporary jobs. The post office will be looking for seasonal workers to help with the higher demand over Christmas as will the major retailers and home delivery networks. Job adverts are already starting to pop up in shop windows across the city but be sure to get in quickly as Christmas jobs tend to go as quickly as they come. The pay isn't too bad either and with a recent rise in the minimum wage, it's looking even better.

So, where can you go in Bristol if you are looking for temporary work? The job centre plus website is a great place to start as is the local evening post. Bristol also boasts a number of Temping agencies specifically targeting job seekers looking for temporary work.  G2 recruitment on Rupert Street and FI recruitment on Park Row are a just a couple of examples of agencies dotted around the city.
