Choosing a career after high school graduation is a big question that everyone has to face. But Nursing has emerged as a career that offers quicker earning opportunity and a wide scope of advancement in career also. Nursing has been in demands from many years and will continue to be in demand for at least a decade more.

There are a number of ways to enroll in a nursing field but one of the best and quick earning ways is training in LPN programs from an accredited training facility. LPNs are vocational/ practical nurses known as Licensed Practical Nurses and are primary care assistants. LPN work in various facilities both including private as well as public sector. The LPN carries many basic responsibilities from change of clothes in healthcare center, maintaining hygiene, helping in maintaining records to feeding patients and also provides their assistance in many crucial duties such as assessing medical history of the patient, developing medical strategies and implementing medical plans.

There are no pre-requisites training course for enrollment in Missouri LPN programs. Candidates must be 18 years old and must have completed high school graduation/ must have a GED certification. Except than these two conditions candidates need to clear a medical test as well as a background check. These tests are mandatory as per federal laws. The training programs are 1-2 year long and provide training in many fields including pharmacology, physics, chemistry, infection controls, illness management and other practical training fields. You can start working after completion of first year of your study and that's how it is one of the quickest ways to start earning in a short duration of time.

Every year more than 4000 students get benefited from Licensed Practical Nurse Training Programs and advance towards their goal in career. You can enroll in various LPN-RN (Registered Nurse) bridging program and take a major leap towards higher paid job position. There are 22 such training programs in the state. You need to clear NCLEX-PN examination in order to get a certification and license as a LPN in the state. The exam is governed by Pearson-Vue and a record of licensed practical nurses in the state is maintained by the State Nursing Board. The minimum passing criteria is 70% and license is issued for duration of 2 years and then a renewal procedure needs to be followed for recertification as a LPN. There are many campuses based and online training courses in the state.

The LPN programs are flexible and offer a reasonable package. LPNs earn around $48000 per year on an average but the salary package increases with experience and advancement in studies. Here is the list of some of the training schools in the state of Missouri:-
