I an pavithra. I am here to help the final year students who appear for interview and for the job seekers.
Aptitude Tests have become an integral part of the selection process. However each differs in their nature and evaluation criteria. This depends on the company.
For example Infosys has predominantly puzzles mostly of Shakunthala Devi's type.
On the other hand TCS paper would be filled with a mixture of aptitude questions from various sections.
In general you can categorize the papers into two broad heads : a) Puzzle Type (Infosys Papers) and b) Computational Type (e.g TCS Papers )
Your preparation should be balanced between the combination of the above two categories. Speak with your seniors, try sample papers from sites like http://www.mytechbrain.com and get dumps of previous papers if possible and more importantly PRACTICE.
Again practicing should be done on real time, fix your time duration, avoid any disturbance and practice as if it were the real test. There is a simple rule for success. More the number of times your practice more the chances for you to get through.
http://www.mytechbrain.com which provides sample online papers resembling patterns of popular companies.
Apart from practicing tests on real time you may also want to discuss with your friends on solutions. Any given problem has got several solutions and the chances are bright that you may find a better time saving solution from a friend on a problem you would take more time.
It is also important for you be prepared for interviews. This is because several companies call you for interview without giving any time to relax, might be two to three days after your exams.
Be prepared, wishing you all a wonderful future,
Thanks
