A man's life can be divided into two parts and the age of 35 is a standard. Before 35, you accumulate knowledge and then use it to create your career after 35.
First, remember always it is never too old to learn. As people emphasize on enjoying our lives, they have less desire and motives to start their careers. But the time which you spend on study will differentiate you from others. When you know time is money, you will understand how important for you to learn when you are young.
Then choose carefully the job you do and the career you will pursue in future. After you have tried several or many jobs, you will know what you really like to do and can spend your whole life on it and what you do not like to do which is wasting your life. Interest is the best teacher. If you are not fond of the work you do, you will not make it or be very successful.
Third, be sure you have a steady family. When you are making great efforts to your career, there is no more time for you to deal with the troublesome problems in your family. If you have a good wife and a happy family, you can put your hearts and souls in your work. Then your whole family will enjoy the success you give to them.
Fourth, make friends as many as you can and ask them out when you have the chance. Even a man works hard and is talented, if he does not have a chance, he will not be successful. Chances are given to you sometimes by God while other times by people. You can help those people when they are out of hand and surely they will help you in turns. The friends can be your old colleagues, classmates and some people you happen to meet once but you are the same kind.
Fifth, learn from work or experience when you should be silent and carefully choose the words which will come out of your mouth. Sometimes you lose your job may be because the words you say. You do not notice that. But it does happen in reality. Brilliant people know when they shall be silent and when communicative.
Then analyze your strong points and shortcomings. When you are 35, you must know what you are good at and what will cost you much but without good results. You must know what you can do better than others while what you cannot. Therefore, no matter what you are doing now, it has a great influence on your career for you to know your strengths and weak points.
In conclusion, you shall absorb knowledge as much as you can before you are 35. Do not care what kind of knowledge it is. But please be careful. Professional knowledge is your first choice. Then be sure you know who you are and what you are capable of and what is not. You shall also have lots of valuable and true friends in your life. Cherish time because we only live once.
