10 Recession Proof Jobs in the Health Industry

During times of global financial crisis, is there still hope for the thousands of professionals who got laid off from their jobs? Is it still possible to land a job that is not affected by the recession? These are just two of the most commonly asked questions and you will find out in this article that the answer to both questions is a big Y-E-S.

Below, in no particular order, is a list of 10 recession proof jobs. They might not be as ideal as your last job but it is better to take a few steps back and survive than to be stubborn and insist on looking for the same job that you had from a different company. If certain companies or departments of those companies closed, it is a very obvious indication that they are not strong enough to survive the hit of global recession so it is best and never too late to start a new career.

The 10 recession proof jobs that this article focuses on are primarily on the health care industry. It is advisable to seek the following the jobs; (1)school and hospital nurses, (2)care giver, (3)medics, (4)pharmacists, (5)physical therapists, (6)home health aides, (7)psychologists and psychotherapists, hospital staff and crew such as (8)doctor’s assistants, (9)medical file and health records staff and (10)health information technicians.

A lot of people suffer from different kinds of disease and alarming health problems these days so the need and demand for health care specialists have just gone bigger through the years. Not surprisingly, the need for skilled health specialist has even gotten bigger over the period of recession. Since most of us are affected by the global financial crisis, our priorities have changed a lot. Most people who work in good companies were provided with health cards that provide them the health and medical assistance that they need. But since their companies were greatly affected by recession, most companies had to lessen if not cut off this privilege.

For those who are really unfortunate and got laid off from their companies, their main concern is just to survive. In this case, health is usually neglected. Before, people have the capability to pay for their own health cards and buy vitamins and health supplements. But now, most people think that they need that amount of money for food, clothing and basic needs. Since this is the sad fact, a lot of people are prone to acquire different kinds of illnesses and diseases.

This list of 10 recession proof jobs that are primarily focused on the health industry is something that we should prioritize especially if we have the background, knowledge and experience. Think of it as hitting two birds with one stone. Having a job that is stable despite the  global recession and knowing that no matter how tiring and demanding your job in the health care industry maybe, you are able to help a lot of people who are in dire need of medical assistance especially in these most difficult times of global financial crisis.
