4 Decision Making Factors For Comparing Two Job Offers

Comparing two job offers is always a tough decision to make. Ultimately the decision is yours regardless of what opinions you have sought out. Many remote workers hold several jobs in case one job suddenly ends.

Since many find it hard to even get one job offer, it's truly a blessing and a difficult position to be in comparing two jobs. A comparison chart along with these factors can help you determine which job offer to accept.

Salary - This is the one of the many reasons to accept or reject a job offer, but it's certainly not the only reason. Is the salary high or low compared to other companies for the same position based on more or less job duties? Will you find it challenging enough or will you be bored? Some virtual companies offer employee status so what are the benefits?

Flexibility - Some telecommute companies are very easy going and flexible while others are stringent. Some companies may not let you work with another company in the same industry. In this case it would be an easy decision, but make sure you're aware of these restrictions before you apply.

Family Schedule - When you accept a work at home job offer, not only does it mean it will help with the family income, but how will it affect your family's schedule? Will it work? If you have young ones, a late evening or early morning shift may be better suited than a late morning or afternoon shift. Don't for a minute believe that you can make it work because most times it won't work. You really don't need that kind of stress starting a new job and messing with your family's schedule can be a costly mistake for you and the employer.

Company - You can research a company by searching on the Internet and getting people's opinions from a variety of social media sites. Work at home job forum members usually offer positive and negative opinions of a company. While it shouldn't be the sole decision maker of what people have said unless it's obvious you should stay away, you have to trust your instincts.

When you're comparing job offers is there room to grow with each company? Do they promote from within? How are the people in the company, are they helpful and supportive, how do they handle problems etc. are all questions you need to know.

Communication is a big part in a virtual environment and it can be difficult to communicate effectively and promptly. Some do well communicating via email or phone and others can be quite abrupt and vague. Overall, how you perceive the company will affect your working relationship with them.

In the end, it's really how you feel about the job, the company and what's best for you and your family.
