Recruitment in any organization is an important part of its human resource planning. Right person at the right positions in the organization are a vital resource, and can prove to be a core competency as well as a strategic advantage in the long run  Administrative Recruitment is a process comprising of attracting, job analysis, sourcing, screening, and selecting qualified individuals for the required job at an organization.

Many firms and business houses often retain recruitment agencies or professional executive recruiters and thereby outsource a part of the administrative recruitment process. However, such recruitment can well be carried out by normal in-house recruitment procedures and individuals can be selected by the same process carried out by an executive team usually comprising of board of directors, specialized professionals and executive recruiters.

The basic objective or Administrative recruiters is to select employees based on the specifications of their clients that can to help the organization to achieve its goals successfully. Recruitment also helps to create a database of qualified and prospective employees for different organizations so that the management can select the right candidate for the right job according to their specifications. Administrative recruiters act as a matchmaker between eligible employees and organizations seeking to fill up their executive positions by skilled professionals.


The recruitment industry has various types of agencies such as employment agencies job search engines, recruitment websites  and executive recruiters also informally called headhunters for top-level executive placements, some niche agencies specializing in particular areas of recruitment (mainly in-house).

In the Administration Recruitment process, different methods are used during the recruitment process to screen and select potential candidates for positions in the organization. Advertising, networking and search engines are popularly used throughout the various stages in the recruitment process to screen and select the individuals before tests and interviews are carried out.

Administrative Recruiters work with the hiring manager in firms and companies and are given the task to find specialized professionals in the administrative field. Such recruiters get paid after the candidate is selected, evaluated and finally placed in the desired position in the company. Recruiters in the administrative profession can be categorized on the basis on which they are appointed such as retainer basis, temporary placement, and permanent placements.

Administrative recruiters are most sought-after and earn lucrative amounts based upon the package their selected individuals get. These days there are thousands of recruiters specializing in the administrative and secretarial field and the demand for them is ever-increasing in the industry.
In this is competitive global market world, recruitment has become indispensable in every business. Therefore, recruitment is considered as the first step in fulfilling the needs of organizations for a strategic, flexible and competitive human resource that can help achieve its objectives.
