College entrepreneurs are some of the most fortunate entrepreneurs in the world. Why? Most would say college students are the most UNFORTUNATE business people in the world, being in debt right out of college, fresh and inexperienced in the industry. But what college entrepreneurs really have going for them is a HEAD START. Being successful at being an entrepreneur is a journey of both SKILL and SELF MASTERY, one that my take years to a lifetime to achieve. Once a college student realizes that entrepreneurship is for them, they get to hop on the road of mastery and have the head start. The only real threat is straying off that path, which MOST DO.
The one most important asset that the college entrepreneur must have is a BELIEF that will create the most leverage in the long run. This belief goes accordingly: Practice For The Sake Of Practicing; Grow For The Sake Of Growth. Having this simple belief will massively leverage the beginning entrepreneur’s energy and motivation, ridding the natural human tendencies to look towards RESULTS as a sign of accomplishment. If one’s entire sense of well-being is dependent upon the results of a given situation at a given moment in time, then becoming discouraged and frustrated will happen on a more frequent basis. It won’t be possible to come from a solid and strong frame, which will kill any chance of persistence or mastery.
So let go of all results. Take MASSIVE ACTION but let go of all results: just focus on growth and value accumulation within yourself and really learning the TRUE SOLUTIONS to becoming an entrepreneur. Once you start learning the CORRECT skill-set of implementing business principles and MARKETING, stay on that path and only assess your results between longer time intervals. For example, if I am starting my own internet marketing campaign for my business, I will employ all of the principles I have learned from the right mentors and work hard for a span of a month before stopping and looking at what results I’m getting. This will help me focus on the GROWTH aspect instead of my end point.
Another tip is to OFFER VALUE. Take everything new thing that you learn and offer it to those others around you who are on the same journey. This way you will be able to ATTRACT other like-minded entrepreneurs and form relationships that will benefit you INDEFINATELY in your own business.
