Learn more about the Pass the Police Exam
I wanted to take the time to share with a few example police exam questions and why they ask this type of question. I know the first time you see some of these questions you'll think they're really odd because they'll not have anything to do with the job. You have to understand that this exam is away to eliminate a lot of the competition for the job. Sometimes thousands apply for a single police job and they need some way to shrink that list and the examination is an important part of that process. I'm going to share with you some example police exam questions that you can use to see what the exam is like. An example question would be how you question of victim of a crime. Obviously you'd ask them what happened, but it isn't that simple. You have to be completely unbiased and not proceed to make assumptions. This is a lot harder than you'd think. Let's assume that a call came in about a mugging on a sidewalk. You shouldn't ask 'where did he run', 'what did he steal', etc. These questions have assumptions in them that try to drag specific information out that may or may not have happened. Another example police exam questions is the mug shot view. They'll show you a mug shot of a criminal and they'll ask you to identify who it is in some other photos. Obviously the other photos will look different, with different facial expressions. The first time doing this can be tough.
