Independent schools also have their own advantages. Most of the reputed schools have latest equipments with modern facilities and lay stress on practical and self-help. This helps to gain confidence and makes you experienced. Some of the independent schools have high training fees, but it depends on the reputation of the school and the local competition. Usually the classes at the independent schools are flexible and cater to individual's attention. Usually the duration of these courses lasts for six months.

Truck driving courses are also taken up in the universities and colleges, as they form a part of the vocational training.
