How to Plan a Career Effectively? Make a Self-Estimation

Planning a career is a process that includes several steps: choosing a profession, obtaining of a job, career development and retirement. As the discussion devoted to making a plan, one should take into account the further actions such as constant monitoring, estimation, comparison of obtained results with the planned ones, corrections made in time, improvement etc.

To make the right decision in a career sphere one should estimate one's own personality. Self analysis and self-estimation would be helpful in this question.

Self-estimation

Self-estimation is a process of collecting and analysis of the information about oneself which includes knowledge, skills, interests, and preferences, strong and weak sides.

Knowledge obtained through the analysis would be helpful in the following actions:

1.To coordinate one's own decisions and life priorities

2.To understand and evaluate other people

3.Be flexible and able to see life from the different points of view

4.To increase the satisfaction in life

5.To make goals for career

Define your career

This information would help you to define aims one wants to achieve in a career sphere. Career goals must be properly structured. Every successful plan of a career must include such points. It must consist of the following factors.

1.Specific. Goal must be exact and special. The goal description should provide the thought that the goal is for you personally.

2.Measurable. It must be quantifiable or have quantity estimation.

3.Achievable. One should evaluate one's own possibilities and life obstacles influencing the achievement of the goal.

4.Resulting. After achieving the goal one must see the result. The result must be significant for a person or for the people around him/her.

5.Time. Any goal must be limited in time. This means one should define period during which one is planning to achieve the aim.

Do not afraid to think in a strategic manner and foresee the future. This will help to avoid mistakes and plan a career very effectively.
