Teaching jobs in Taiwan? Taiwan has a massive English learning market where English teachers are always wanted and in demand. There are jobs in the teaching area available almost all year. What is it really like to teach English in Taiwan? A lot of people make the move to teach English in Taiwan due to how simple it can be and also the minimal requirements you must have to be an English teacher. It isn't always work with easy money, but you can make a living teaching English in Taiwan.

Cram schools are where the majority of foreign English teachers are employed. Cram schools are usually packed with children thanks to parents believing their children must learn English from a very young age. The majority of the kids are anywhere from six to twelve. Thanks to this, what you teach in class is usually fairly simple. There are schools that have classes for students beside children, the majority of work in Taiwan for English teachers is teaching children.

To be an English teacher you only need to satisfy a few basic requirements. You need to have a recognized Bachelor's degree and you must be from an English speaking country. So if you come from Canada, the United Kingdom, the USA, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa you already meet this requirement.

If you are looking for teaching jobs in Taiwan, then the good news is that almost anyone can teach English in Taiwan today. Provided you have a recognized three or four year Bachelor's degree and being from anyone of the English speaking countries above you won't have much trouble finding work.

    Taiwan teaching jobs are considered lucrative and extremely easy to get, or so many people think. Perhaps ten to twenty years ago this was true. Back then the pay was high considering the cost of living in Taiwan and jobs were plentiful.

    Teaching in Taiwan isn't without its pitfalls and problems. Many schools and recruiters have only good things to say about working in Taiwan to potential employees. This isn't to say that none of it is true, but the best thing you can do before making the move to Taiwan as an ESL teacher is to fully prepare yourself in advance.

    I'M Glad that teaching is in demand in taipei because I'm planning to go there to work but for the meantime i'll focus first to my study....by the way im taking up bachelor of science in education major in english.
