High School Teachers
While the average salary of a teacher in the U.S. is only $31,000, pay can vary significantly from one district to another. Teach a subject with a shortage of applicants that’s in high demand, and you can earn much more. Add that to a pricey school district and entry-level teachers can pull in approximately $60,000. Requirements at a minimum include a teaching degree and completing your state’s certification requirements for teachers.
Programmers
Since programmers are so in-demand, an entry-level programmer with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science can expect between $55,000 and $60,000, assuming they possess skills such as the ability to program in various languages and problem-solving.
Sales Managers
Sales managers direct and coordinate the sales of goods and services for businesses and since many are paid commission, entry-level positions can pay as much as $80,000 annually. Sales managers come from various educational backgrounds and many get to travel and meet a variety of new people.
Registered Nurses
Given the massive aging population and the nature of their work, registered nurses will see steady work no matter where they live for years to come. You can earn a registered nursing degree in just two years but the best jobs typically go to those with a bachelor’s degree. Entry-level earnings can top $63,000.
Physical Therapist
Physical therapists enjoy job security and high entry-level salaries since they can work in a myriad of environments including clinics, hospitals, private healthcare offices, and rehabilitation centers. To work in the industry, you must attend physical therapy school and adhere to your state’s licensing policy. Entry-level physical therapists earn as much as $61,000.
Truck Drivers
CDL driver jobs are available in virtually every part of the country since professional drivers transport nearly every commodity consumed in the United States. Entry-level drivers can earn as much as $40,000 during their first year – a number that steadily increases the more time and experience they log behind-the-wheel. Individuals wanting to obtain a truck driving job must attend a specialized truck driving school, which typically lasts between 3 and 6 weeks.

By: Drew Backley | 31/12/2009My dream job is acting, because I want the chance to inspire someone to experience the thrill of performing in front of a live audience. I want the chance to be to someone else what Angela Lansbury and Stephen Sondheim are to me—-the embodiment of talent.

StudentScholarships.org - Choosing a Career as a Writer
By: Drew Backley | 31/12/2009To me, a writer can do whatever he or she desires, pristine or simply selfish in motive. If a writer is flamboyant, he or she can write a story about the glory of toilets. If a writer is a serious stooge, then he or she can write a story about the genocide in Sudan.
StudentScholarships.org - I want to be an Actress
By: Drew Backley | 31/12/2009For me, acting is living in a moment. The art of theater is to suspend a moment, and unearth everything that makes this particular moment real. It is the theater’s duty to take that moment and present it to the audience so that they can connect with the moment and get in touch with their own emotions.
StudentScholarships.org - My Ideal Job
By: Drew Backley | 31/12/2009My ideal job, one that I would dream for is simply this, to inspire, motivate, and equip servant leaders, to devastate this world with love. I want to take the world’s lies and replace them with the truth, the slothfulness into productivity, the anger into peace, and the hatred into love. I want my life to make a difference within this world. I do not want to sit back and enjoy a job with a good salary and benefits that adds up to nothing as far as real differences made
