I wanted to discuss with you the process of becoming a cop. There are a number of reasons why people end up going into this profession. Some have always dreamed of doing this since they were kids. Others are looking for a good respectable career with great benefits. Others need to pay their bills and want good consistent work. Whatever your reason is, getting a job is a little different. You're going to have extra powers over people. You're going to be able to use weapons and arrest people. They're going to have you jump through a lot of different hoops before you ever get the job. I'm going to talk to you about the process of becoming a cop. After you send in your application to a police job posting, you'll most likely be called into take a police exam. Most people get called up for this, unless you're missing the basics of what is required like under 18, no high school diploma, etc. The exam you'll have to take will fail around 70% of people. It's designed to filter the good out of hundreds of applicants that apply. You'll want to make sure you score high on this test to keep yourself ahead of the competition. The next process of becoming a cop is the oral board interview. Assuming you did well in the exam, you'll be called up for an interview. This isn't like a standard interview. You'll be talking with a board of people and they all need to approve you for the job. That makes it a tough interview because you have to impress every one of them.
