A Nurse anesthetist may be considered as a nurse who has done anesthesia educational programs for the management and administration of anesthesia. The necessity of these nurses is highly felt at several medical procedures and institutes. During surgery and several other obstetrical processes, these nurses provide assistance by making use of their knowledge and expertise. Nurse anesthetist is a very important part of the medical staff that is going to conduct any operation or surgery. The major functions that are performed by these nurses is to get the tools ready for conducting the surgery, analyze the possible effects of anesthesia over the patient and to make sure that the blood collection has been carried out for the emergency cases.

To become a nurse anesthetist, it is mandatory that the nurse anesthesia bachelor program should be done. In addition to this, these nurses also have to clear the national certification exam administered from the council on accreditation (coa) or else they would not be given the license to start the practice. In order to become an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) it is required to obtain the graduate education. Such nurse anesthetist is then known as Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA). This education will give necessary experience and knowledge needed for such nurses.

After completing the certification and education the nurse anesthetist is required to do acute nursing care for one year duration in any medical institute along with Intensive Care Unit or Operation Theater. It will be much better if the nurse anesthetist is having Masters Degree in the nurse anesthesia course. It will enable the nurses to have more understanding and experience in this field. Such nurses are hired by the medical teams immediately as these nurses are always necessary. Having complete education and training is very important for becoming an effective and efficient anesthesia administrator.

To begin practice as a nurse anesthetist, it is also imperative to pass a written exam. This will enable the medical teams to analyze the knowledge and competencies of the nurses. It is better to keep on performing various certifications in order to improve your skills. The need of nurse anesthetist is growing every year. Every other girl who feels that she can take care of the patients at their best and has got interest in understanding the anesthesia related issues and severity's should show up for joining this field. It is very necessary that such nurses should be very attentive, alert and watchful.

In depth knowledge and information should be acquired by the nurse anesthetist. Such nurses should be able to deal with the anesthesia as their basic task is to administer the anesthesia. Also the nurse anesthetist needs to have training for dealing with the patients who have been administered anesthesia. The training sessions also enable the nurses to learn various ways in which they can deal their patients with utmost care. It is a big task to make the patients feel safe. The judgmental abilities of these nurses also need to be strong so that they can monitor the condition of the patient quickly. Therefore being specialized as a nurse anesthetist is not always easy and calls for good knowledge and expertise.
