These questions may come as expected when you are being interviewed for a job you applied, but still you feel nervous. Most of the job applicants knew that some questions are common in a job interview that's why a rehearse statement is common among them. But why do you still feel nervous and uneasy when answering the questions? Some common yet tough questions to answer are difficult because it pertains about your personal life and views. And sadly we become confuse whether our answer would be the honest opinion or the white lies in order to have a good impression. What are the tough yet common questions often encountered by a job applicant?

Tell me something about yourself

"…Uhm…" Why do some people find it difficult to describe themselves? It's because we really don't know ourselves. We would have answered easy when we are asked about the description of someone else than ourselves. People mostly are more familiar with their family members, spouse or children than themselves. The reason for this is because in our daily lives we really don't communicate with ourselves. We don't ask what we want or what will make us happy. We are more focus on the people we love on how we can show our love to them. To help you answer this question without stuttering in words, try this easy and practical ways to set yourself for a good impression.

  • Know what is asked. When you are asked about yourself your interviewer is not interested on your age, sex, address and your educational attainment because it's all written in your resume.

  • Be honest with yourself. No matter how you rehearsed your answer if it speaks of dishonesty your interviewer will know by heart.

  • Answer what is asked. When your interviewer is asking about yourself, start by relating to him your character and connect it to your family, career goal and your hobbies.

  • Be spontaneous. When you are spontaneous with your answers, all the things you wanted to say would come easy for you.

Why should we hire you?

Although the answers are commonly heard by an interviewer still they are interested on what you would answer and how you answer it.

  • Start by answering what motivates you to apply for the work.

  • Be honest again. If you think the compensation is the reason for your interest in applying tell that to the interviewer. It's because no matter how you side sways the answer of being their good company…etc… you know it in your heart that it's the compensation that motivates you to apply. But you can always back this of with a heart-warming reason in order for the interviewer to feel for you also.

  • Have a career goal in mind. The interviewer is always impressed by applicants who see them selves to be moving upward than being stuck on the current job they are applying. When you have a goal in mind and you are applying for a current position, you see it as your stepping stone. And the employer would know that if they will hire you, you will do a good job because you wanted to go higher in career.

  • Be practical. Even if you have a career goal in life try to evaluate also if the job you are applying is in line with the goal you wanted to achieve. If you are an accountant and you wanted to be the future partner of the company, practically you are applying for a junior position. But if you are an engineer and you just wanted to have a work it would be silly to apply in an accounting firm. Try to set your goal that is in line with the profession or career you have studied.

Just remember that in everything that you do your honest answer and opinion will make your statement easy. There is no wrong nor do a right answer because everyone is entitled to their opinion. When you are applying for a job you are trying to sell yourself. If you gave a dishonest answer the tendency would be you will have to pretend to your future employer just to meet their expectation from you because of your answer. But if you are honest, you can be yourself and your employer would be impressed eventually by your performance because they were not expecting it from you.
