These days, training institutes have also realized the potential of these career options and are introducing courses that train students in these fields unlike earlier when a student picked most of the skills on his own or had to go abroad to get trained. Though there are still limited options in terms of education and training in these fields, yet the situation is much improved as compared to earlier. And some of the careers are such that no formal training or education is required to become successful in those fields. One just needs to follow the heart and depend on the gut feel to carve a successful career. There is inherent talent in some people that lets them make it big in unconventional jobs. However, it is important to recognize and groom this talent at the right time.

If you are also looking to take up an out of ordinary job, it is advisable that you find a mentor who can guide you and take care of you till you are ready to be on your own. These fields do not offer linear growth, are full of uncertainties and some have to struggle for years to get a foothold.  The mantra for success lies in remaining focused and not letting initial failures bog one down. A go-getter's attitude combined with perseverance and a strong will power will eventually help you shine in your choice of career. For those always looking to settle in a comfort zone, an unconventional career will not be the right choice as these jobs always challenge you to push your limits. Hence, think twice before you opt for an unconventional job.
