In recent times, fitness awareness has risen steadily into the forefront of society, and more and more people, both men and women, find themselves being more conscious about their fitness and health. And accordingly, most major cities in the world have seen an influx of fitness centers that have mushroomed to serve the growing demand.
It's no wonder, too, as fitness and health are both huge factors that affect our lives and general well-being to a great extent. Now, more than ever, people want to know how to lead the most healthy and wholesome life they can - and they're constantly looking for easier and better ways to do it.
As a fitness trainer, you can take advantage of this global increase in health awareness - and by creating an online presence for your services, knowledge and expertise as a fitness trainer, you can enjoy a wide range of benefits, which include earning extra income from customers off the Internet. All you really need is a domain (which could even be your own name, so you easily brand yourself as a fitness trainer online!) and a blog, and after some time of creating informative and interesting blog posts in relation to fitness, you will have a group of interested readers.
And with some experience and a few useful tools, you'll discover that your readers represent a huge array of money making possibilities you probably never knew existed!
1. Provide Information For Money Via E-mail
Fitness training is a specialized skill. Such knowledge of the human physique and exercise techniques is only gained after years of dedication and experience. Thus, not many people have this knowledge - and if YOU have it, you can take advantage of your expertise to earn you some money!
One of the ways you can do this is to provide customers information via e-mail (on a regular basis) in return for a monthly membership fee. In essence, people become members of your newsletter and mailing list (which is where you store your customers contact details), and you provide them useful and valuable information regarding health and fitness every day, week, or month.
This is extremely simple for you to do as all you need is to create small subsections or topics of information that can be easily and quickly written into a text e-mail (such as 'Proper Warming Up Techniques' or 'Building Your Stamina'), and insert them into your Autoresponder (an automatic e-mail service that can be set up on your blog for a small fee). Once you have created your set of e-mails once, it can be programmed to be sent automatically to all of your customers at the specified interval.
2. Sell E-Books
Instead of just writing e-mails that cover small bite-sized pieces of information, you can get a bit more adventurous and create small e-books that can be sold to people who visit your blog. E-books are books (usually around 20-60 pages in length) in electronic formats such as PDF, which allow them to be shared and sold at a significantly lowered cost (i.e. you save on printing, storage and handling of the physical books!).
After many years working in the fitness industry, you have no doubt gathered a significant amount of information on various topics related to fitness and health. It wouldn't take you much time or cost you any money to put down your expertise and knowledge into a short book, which you can then try to sell on your blog to your visitors.
The above are two obvious benefits that you would gain from bringing your fitness training skills and wisdom onto the Internet, but there are plenty more. You'll also enjoy a boost in your prominence as a fitness trainer, as everyone who visits your website will know your name (especially if you use your name as your domain!) and your expertise - and over time, this online prominence can lead to you becoming an authority in the field - both offline and online!
