If you have been considering a luxury vehicle that understands your needs, and at the same time suits your tastes; then take a BMW car is a make that deserves serious consideration. Having been in the automobile market for nearly 90 years now, BMW is one of the most respected names in the automobile industry when it comes to luxury car brands, competing with other European cars such as Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Jaguar and Audi.
One of the most important things to note is that they do not cater exclusively to the super-rich, but to numerous people in the luxury car market. What this means is even if you do not have an exceedingly high budget, you can still purchase a BMW car, for most that would be at least in the 3 series.
The Past
BMW actually stands for an acronym for Bavarian Motor Works, or technically Bayerische Motoren Werke AG. This company was founded in the year 1913 by Karl Friedrich Rapp in Munich, Germany. Their slogan is The Ultimate Driving Machine, which also makes the suggestion why even the lowest-end BMW car is really a great automobile. The trademark of their cars lied in the kidney grills, which were first seen on the BMW 303 in the early 1930s. The design of the cars changed according to the eras to more contemporary designs.
The Present
From the 2500 and 2800, now their cars range from the 1 series to the 6 series, the X series to the Z series, and not to mention; the M series!
If you have a tighter budget, but still want a BMW car, then you might want to go for the 1 series. A compact BMW car by nature, this sedan suits the needs of the majority of people as one of the most perfect urban cars. If you can, you might want to opt for the 3 series which people say is the most favorite and famous of them all. There are sedans, coupes and convertibles, each according to their own power train sub-series categorization.
Entering the upper echelons of the luxury line, we have the 5 series. The current 5 series is universally known as one of the fiercest looking cars, and this BMW car series comes in the forms of sedan and touring. Moving up further, we have the 6 series, which is very exclusive and rare. And then the 7 series tops the luxury line and is many individuals dream car across the globe.
With yet another category altogether, there are the SUVs, or the ex-series, or to be more exact would be the X5 and X3. Additionally there is the Z series, which includes the Z3, Z4, Z8, and soon to be released Z9. Then finally would be the muscle car division of the BMW car series. The M series, which at the moment is made up of the M3, M5, M6 and Z4M.
