With oil prices soaring higher and higher, people are hunting for luxury cars with lower running costs. Since there are no chances of fuel prices going down, diesel cars have over powered their petrol siblings. Many Indian cars today are available with diesel options that deliver better fuel economy.

The latest trend in the deluxe diesel segment is the high competition between Hyundai Sonata Embera and Skoda Laura. Both the diesel cars are loaded with outstanding features that make them most competitive in the segment.

The prices are as competitive as the features. Both the cars have elegant exteriors, stylish interiors and perform well in the deluxe diesel car segment.

Attractive Exteriors

Sonata Embera is designed with authenticity and elegance. The exterior features a V-shaped ridge meeting the lines of a chrome-lipped signature grille. The tail lamps of the car are beautifully wrapped around giving a more contemporary and catchy look.

Skoda Laura, with its Pump Duse engine delivers only 105 bhp, comparatively less than the Embera. The car is outfitted with a five-speed gearbox that ensures good drivability. The responsive car engine yields a fuel efficiency of about 11 kmpl in city and about 16 kmpl on highways.
