BMW, the world's famous luxury car maker is planning to launch its crossover compact sports utility vehicle (SUV) BMW X1 in India in 2010 December 23rd. This model is similar to the platform of BMW 3 Series All Wheel Drive (AWD) touring. BMW X1 models will be available in both petrol and diesel variants and it will come with an attractive price tag.
BMW X1 History
BMW X1 production was started in 2009. It has the platform of BMW 3 Series especially BMW E90 and the model is assembled in Leipzig, Germany. The petrol version of BMW X1 is equipped with 1.8L engine and BMW X1 diesel version is equipped with 2.0 L diesel engine. BMW is planning to production of BMW X1 in company's Chennai plant in India.

BMW XI is a All Wheel Drive, that comes with six-cylinder petrol engine, four cylinder petrol engine, four cylinder diesel engine and it has six speed manual transmission.
