Corsa Most Unwanted

Posted: Mar 22, 2011 |Comments: 0 |

There are often polls released to reveal the most popular cars, or the cars that are the most healthy for the environment, or consume the least fuel. But which car is the most unwanted? We aren't thinking about Herbie here, but the car that is purchased and sold the most over the year period. Car companies are obviously reluctant to publish this information themselves and draw into discussion the failings of the current vehicles they offer to the UK.

And the award goes to the Vauxhall Corsa. The Spanish made vehicle was the most sold on car last year, beating the ford fiesta hatchback to the title.

Webuyanycar, com, the car purchase site reported that this was the trend, but they said ''Seasonal trends and economic factors can make a real difference to the cars that people want to sell. The Corsa is such a reliable motor that it's often used by first time buyers after they've passed their test."

Due to the current economic climate, drivers are choosing to sell the cheap run-arounds that they bought when they first passed their test in favour of more fuel economic and environmentally friendly vehicles, that will save them money on fuel and road taxes in the future, and be more long lasting, as an old car always needs work come the MOT. Twenty two percent of people asked said they were selling their Corsa as they had found a better vehicle, while the majority said that they were looking for something more cost effective. This could be due to the fact that the corsa is often a first car for a new and inexperienced driver as it is fairly easy to use. They are also a really popular car in the UK market, so there are more in the country to sell than comparative vehicles. I personally love my nippy little corsa and it gets me from a to b without issue. The only quibble is the engine is fairly small and takes a while to catch up with your acceleration.

If you are looking to save yourself money then buy Car Insurance Online and pit the saved pennies to better use.
