MONROVIA -- Police apparently have three suspected burlgars in custody after a residential break-in officials said.  Who's writing this kind of stuff? Either the police DO or DO NOT have three people in custody. What kind of reporting is it that they "apparently" have them? If they DO have people in custody, then they ARE suspected burglars (that's spelled that way, by the way, not "burlgars"-no spell check at the Star-News?). The lede should be "Police have taken into custody three burglars suspected of a residential break-in."
