Pontiac was established all the way back in 1907 by the Oakland Motor Company. It was acquired as a division of General Motors in 1909. However, it was in the year 1926 when its name was officially recognized. This was when the general manager of Oakland, Alfred R. Glancy saw designs hanging on the wall of the shop with “Pontiac” written on it. The car brand was intended to be less expensive than the Oakland Motor car lines.

In the years to come, Pontiac will continue to emerge and offer superior vehicles that could bring life to every road world wide.
