Land Rover has recently launched its all new compact sports utility vehicle Range Rover Evoque in Indian auto industry. It is a compact SUV which went into development in the month of July 2011. British auto major along with Land Rover in India is a subsidiary of Tata Motors as Jaguar Land Rover (JLR). Company builds its all new Land Rover Range Rover Evoque in three and five door forms at the Jaguar Land Rover Halewood plant in the United Kingdom. The all new compact SUVs concept was first unveiled at the North American International Auto Show as the Land Rover LRX in the month of January 2008. The company launched Evoque in three different variants that are Land Rover Range Rover Evoque Pure, Prestige mis variant and the top end variant of the car that is Land Rover Range Rover Evoque Dynamic. All the variants are available in diesel guise, but the top end variant Dynamic is available in both petrol and diesel options.
Land Rover Range Rover Evoque price for the base variant is tagged at Rs. 44.75 lakh and goes up to 45 lacs for the top end variant that is Dynamic. The petrol version Dynamic is also available with a price tag of Rs. 45 lacs. The five door compact SUV is powered by 2.2 Liter SD4, 2179 cc diesel engine which churns out a maximum output power of 190 BHP at 3500 RPM and a peak torque of 420 Nm @ 1750 RPM. The engine of the car is mated with six speed automatic transmissions. While the petrol Evoque get its power from Si4 2.0 Litre, 1999 cc petrol engine, pumps out a peak power of 240 BHP @ 5500 RPM and a maximum torque of 340 Nm at 1750 RPM. It is also coupled with six speed automatic transmission gearbox. Car sprints from zero to 100 kmph in just 7.6 seconds and attains a top speed of 217 Kmph.
