About the Car
Maruti Suzuki Ritz flaunts a European compact design with spacious interiors .Its rear seat comfortably adjusts three people.This car is powered by K12M engine.It seems that A-Star , Swift and SX4 have been inter-mingled in Ritz.The hatchback car is meant for the family and so has received special attention in the area of seating comfort.Talking about interiors , the cars is 8 centimeters more wider than the its own Wagon R+2B.The boot of the car seems small at first glance but there is ample space under the artificial floor which is perhaps sufficient for a nuclear family needs.
Engine & Styling
Maruti Ritz has K12M 1197 cc low-weight all-aluminum 4-cylindered engine fixed tightly to a 5-speed manual gearbox.The cars engine produces 85 PS of power at 6000 rpm at torque 113 Nm @ 4500rpm enough to please speed freaks.The cars body base height has been raised by 30mm to evade impact on bad roads.The vehicle's engine has very low noise and emission.Also the non-use of chromium, cadmium, and mercury makes it more eco-friendly.The car comes in 8 colour shades namely Superior White ,Silky Silver,Fire Brick Red,Bakers Chocolate,Racing Green,Blue Blaze,Midnight Black and Glistening Grey.This new Maruti car model has five variants Lxi, Vxi, Zxi in petrol and Ldi, Vdi in diesel.It is also fitted with anti theft soft software (iCATS) has 6 variants , three dieselversions and three petrol.
Advantages & Drawbacks
The fuel efficient new Maruti Ritz car gives 17.8 km per liter of petrol.Interestingly the AStar was seen to provide 19.6 kmpl so Ritz trails in this area. Maruti Ritz's ability to run on 10% ethanol-mixed petrol makes it the first of its kind in India.
Ritz car could be remembered for its powerful and efficient K12M engine.This card is not free from drawbacks.The foot space in rear seat is very less that is problematic for people with big foot.The design of the car side back also does not look too good.
While the petrol version costs Rs3.9-4.8lakh ,its diesel version is priced at Rs4.65-4.99lakh in India.
