Honda Brio, the compact car that is yet to be released by Honda Motors is among the most anticipated model from the company's stable. To be able to make the car successful, Honda has already started effective marketing techniques. Honda Siel Cars will have to extend its roots in smaller cities and towns and work in collaboration with the regional and state run banking institutions to welcome their highly inspired model, Honda Brio. According to the statements made by Mr. Jnaneshwar Sen, the Vice-President of Honda Siel Cars, the company is looking forward to small cities market in order to make the car successful. He also mentioned that Honda Brio is a car which intends to cater to the needs of urban nucleus families along with big families that are based in small towns. The launch of Honda Brio which is expected to take place by September this year and it is also expected that the car is going to bear a price tag of Rs 5 lakh. The car has been aimed by the company to target the small towns and cities as the models that fits perfectly to the needs of the target market. In addition, the small cities have played a major role in the overall success of domestic auto market through a contribution of above 30% in the year 2010. In the past, the strategies employed by Honda Motors has always made the metros and the big cities their target for its cars such as the Honda Accord, Honda CR-V, Honda Jazz, Honda City and Honda Civic. This time though, Honda Brio would tap the small city market. The model is going to be a direct competitor of other car major brands such as the Ford Figo, Hyundai i20 and Maruti Swift. So that they could stand as a tough competitor for these other models, the company is hitting the small cities car market. The company is looking for alliance with the local banking institution to avail easy finance to the customers. This also shows that the Japanese car major is not leaving any stone unturned to make Honda Brio a successful model. Honda Brio's prototype was unveiled at the 27th Thailand Motor Expo 2010 by the Japanese car giant Honda Motors.
