The Benefits of a New 4x4

People who enjoy 4x4 vehicles have a choice between purchasing a new one or a used one. There can be excellent buys on either type, but a new 4wd has several major benefits and advantages over a used one.

The Warranty

A new 4x4 will offer the buyer the full manufacturer's warranty. Few used ones can say this. The warranty on a new one will cover the repair and servicing of most of the major systems, including the engine, transmission, drive train, electrical system, heating and cooling system, and most interior electronic malfunctions.

Whether a person buys a new or a used 4x4, the odds are they'll be spending a substantial amount of money. But since they'll always be spending more on a new one, it's essential and better to have the financial protection and overall coverage that only a complete manufacturer's warranty offers.

Better Drivability

A new 4x4 will invariably drive much better than a used one simply because there will usually be much less mileage on it. This translates into improved performance, including better acceleration, handling, steering, and braking. A used 4x4 is going to have many more problem areas in the suspension, brakes, tires, transmission, and differential. A new 4x4 just has that glowing look about it. Unlike a used one, it's not going to have any dents, dings, scratches or major body damage. There won't be any rusty areas or sections where parts are hanging off and are about to crack and break. The tires and wheels will definitely look shinier.

The metal paint will gleam in the sun and in the rain the water will beautifully bead up from the fresh coat of wax that the factory rubbed on. It will make its owner much prouder to be seen next to it than a used 4x4 will. Very few used ones won't have some unappealing and noticeable damage somewhere inside or outside of the vehicle. A new one will look more expensive and richer because of this wondrous look.
