Maruti Suzuki 800

Maruti Suzuki 800 is the cheapest car in the country with a price tag of Rs 1,84,896 (ex-showroom Delhi). After the launch of Tata Nano it will no more be the cheapest car. Since the inception of M800 in 1983, the car has undergone various significant improvements to suit the needs of the changing generation. The present day M800 is a statement of style and performance.

The car’s interior is loaded with comfortable seats, impressive instrumentation, functional dashboard, electronic power steering. It is powered by a 796cc engine that delivers 46 bhp and is mated to a 5-speed, all synchromesh, manual transmission. Furthermore, the McPherson strut front suspension and rear sports coil spring gas-filled shock absorbers improves handling and performance.

Tata Indica V2 Xeta

Tata Indic V2 Xeta is the recent addition in the 10 year old Indica family. It holds a price tag of Rs 2,54,656 (ex-showroom Delhi) and is worth its value.

Designed with a smiling chrome front grille, eye-shaped headlamps, body coloured bumpers, and stylish wheel arches, the car looks appealing. The interior is even more appealing with features like electronic instrumentation, spot lamps, front door map pocket, and foldable rear seat to increase cargo space.

The Indica V2 Xeta comes with two engine options that include 1.4-litre and 1.2-litre. The 1.4-litre engine generates 70 bhp whereas the 1.2-litre generates 62 bhp.

Hyundai Santro Xing

Hyundai Santro Xing is one of the most reliable and dependable compact car in the Indian car market. It is priced at Rs 2,56,299 (ex-showroom Delhi) and is a perfect city commuter.

The Santro Xing is designed with a modern look accentuated with flowing aerodynamic bodylines, horizontal chrome grille, stylish new headlamps, and large sporty tail lamps. In the interior, the car showcase assortment of features like 3-spoke steering, premium upholstery, new instrument clusters, stylish dash, and impressive instrument cluster.
