Volvo has a lot to thank the Volvo S60 for. The introduction of said car paved way for more prominent and best-selling cars like the second generation of S40. According to car analysts, Volvo S40 is probably the first small Volvo that really upholds the marques values. This is because of the car's design, appeal, and affordability factors.
Further, it is also considered as a clever used buy. As a used buy, S40 stacks up well. Additionally, a previous owner may leave a purchaser a whole host of classic Volvo values.
Volvo S40 upgrade parts feature styling touches that are genuinely never seen before. The new S40 introduces a brand new design based on the Volvo P1 platform. The car is manufactured at the Volvo Cars factory situated in Ghent, Belgium.
Volvo S40 won the 2005 Canadian Car of the Year Best New Sport Compact award. It was also nominated for the World Car of the Year award. Also in said year, the car was elected the South African Car of the Year by the South African Guild of Motoring Jounalists. One of the many variants of the car is S40 T5. Said variant features a 2.5 L (2521 cc) five-cylinder fuel injected engine with a light-pressure turbocharger. The engine is diagonally mounted at the front of the car and drives the front wheels. Its valvetrain, a DOHC design, has 4 valves per cylinder.
Some enthusiasts are saying that S40 can be considered as one of the best picks in the auto market these days. It is refined, reliable and made more affordable by the automaker. They added that from the façade to the bodywork, which is inspired by Ford Focus - and finally to what are found under the hood - everything is fascinating.
On the other hand, Volvo S60, which was introduced in 2000, is the automaker's entry-level luxury car. It is one of the first Volvo cars to use Peter Horbury's design called "curvy Volvos" that used the tagline used in "Revolvolution." Parts Volvo S60 was refreshed in 2004 to create brand new capabilities. For the 2008 model year S60 and V70 will be using Ford EUCD platform.
