Seniors and tweener seniors rounded up for a yearly fashion event sponsored by the American Legion. Models displayed an interesting and functional women's clothing collection at the "Breath of Spring" Fashion Show. The show followed a lunch of lasagna and tossed salad. Homemade cookies were served for dessert.
A sales rep donated 20% of her sales of Lia Sophia jewelry. The jewelry display, mostly silver, was full of tasteful designs embellished with semi precious stones.
Fashion model volunteers walked through the isles between banquet tables. Most of the coordinated outfits were three pieces. Changeable options, suitable for day or evening, were topped off with interesting accessories.
A three part presentation, drawings for the prizes were held while the models changed. About twenty one different outfits including skirts, slacks, and capris showed an impressive variety of women's clothing. All were provided by Bon Worth Fashions.
Bon Worth Fashions, located on U.S. Highway 1, Sebastian Florida in the Riverwalk Plaza, offered reasonable prices on quality women's clothing. Their flyer boasted "Fashion worth your lifestyle."
As the narrator described, these pants won't bag out in the butt. The fabric offering showed variety, too. Some garments were pure polyester, while others were cotton blends. She pointed out which outfits she recommended for taking on a cruise.
All slacks and skirts featured the comfort of elastic waistbands. Each and every one had pockets, including the skirts. Practical considerations like this coupled with quality really made for an impressive show.
Bon Worth Fashions passed out flyers for an upcoming customer appreciation day. Another event with refreshments, prizes and ten percent off or regular priced merchandise.
The drawing prizes were donations from local community businesses ranging from Avon products, to hair salon services, as well as the local fruit stand. Included in the list were larger corporations like Walmart, Winn Dixie, and Taco Bell. The long list of 31 donors from local businesses was impressive.
The American Legion Auxiliary workers put a great amount of energy into canvassing for these donations. The servers were the men folk of the American Legion, and they did a wonderful job.
Interesting decorations in the American Legion Hall gave ambiance to the setting. World War II artifacts of the various helmets, metallic k ration boxes, and pictures of heroes were interspersed throughout three different rooms.
Multiple patriotic flags flanked the corners of the room. Nostalgic posters of the heroic American spirit were captioned with phrases like "Together we will win."
At the bottom of the beautifully designed event program - "This fundraiser will help support the Scholarship Program of the American Legion Auxiliary." This fashion show is a great way to see the trends in women's clothing, and support a worthy cause.
