Thousands of Irish children were systematically abused for decades in homes and orphanages run by the Catholic Church.
An investigative report, commissioned by the Irish government in 2000 and recently released, comes to a terrible conclusion. Spiegel Online reported this on May 20, 2009. According to the report, between 1936 and 1970, and even later, more than 30,000 children passed through these houses of horror, labeled as Catholic homes for children.
And these crimes didn’t take place in 1 or 2, but in over 200 different homes and institutions. The children were, on the average, 8 years old. The commission personally questioned 1, 800 victims as witnesses.
The report speaks of systematic, physical, sexual and emotional abuse. “They were shoved, beaten, kicked, hit on the hands with sticks, beaten while hanging on a hook, sprayed down with cold water and beaten, stripped naked and beaten, chased by dogs..” The list of the tortures is just as long as the acts of sexual violence that were perpetrated on boys and girls for decades, “…in dormitories, cars, bathrooms, in the church, in the sacristy.”
The commission reported that sexual abuse was the order of the day and was endemic in homes run by the so-called “Christian Brothers,” in particular, that is, they were part of the system.
Oddly enough, the important evidence for cases of sexual abuse in the order of the “Christian Brothers” was found in the Vatican archives. Apparently, the Vatican knew about these cases. The report says that when complaints were made, the criminal priests were simply transferred to another home. At times, at least seven clerics lived out their sexual desires simultaneously in the same schools. Each reported abuse was treated as an individual case by the church and hushed up.
The report states that in part these crimes were part of the system.
To explain this, we need only look into the pope’s Bible. We can read in Proverbs chapter 22, verse 15: Folly is bound up in the heart of a child, but the rod of discipline drives it far from him.
Or Proverbs, chapter 23, verse 13: Do not withhold discipline from a child; if you beat him with a stick, he will not die.
And in verse14: If you beat him with the rod, you will save his life from hell.
No wonder, the big daily newspaper, the “Irish Times,” raises the question: “What role can we still concede to the Church in education?”

No Energy Is Lost: Atonement
By: The Original Christians | 25/08/2009 | Self HelpNo energy is lost. The bookkeeping of God is absolute. The energy of our emotionally charged thoughts can be transferred to others. The smallest stirring, which we trigger with our thoughts or words can stimulate action in our neighbor. Because of this, we are bound together and the actions committed are stored in a cosmic computer. One day atonement must be made. This article explores how this can be done in our lives.

Can a Cold War of Aggressive Thoughts Lead to the Development of Cancer?
By: The Original Christians | 24/06/2009 | CancerOur thoughts are energy forms. We irradiate this, and when we are aggressive it can be perceived. These energies not only radiate to without, but they also radiate to within, and they influence our whole cell state, our body cells absorb this. Our nerves absorb it and it leads to the fact that a war takes place in the organs. One organ fights against the other, the nerves direct this aggressive behaviour, and we get sick.
What’s In a Word? War or Peace?
By: The Original Christians | 18/06/2009 | Causes & OrganizationsOur world is filled with war, not only war against people, but also violence and savagery toward nature and the animals. To stop this kind of brutality, we need to ask ourselves the following question: Where do wars start, in the first place? Don’t they perhaps first start in our thoughts? Isn’t it a basic disregard of any concept about life, which stems from God? Since many in the Western world call themselves Christians, has thes been part of the solution or part of the problem?

Banning Meat is Overdue! The Truth About Meat and Our Health
By: The Original Christians | 08/06/2009 | CancerWhen research studies concluded that various toxic materials were harmful to our health, various governmental and health organizations worldwide moved to ban the substances. With the publication of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change in 2006 and 2007, it became known that the production of livestock produces 18% of the CO2 contributing to the greenhouse effect. This means that eating meat has a larger share in the climate change than all means of transportation worldwide.
