Are You One of the Lucky 1 Million?

3G iPhone sales are off to a flying start with Apple claiming that the 1 millionth handset flew of the shelves on Sunday.  This is just three days after the handset was released on Friday 11th July!

Apple must be ecstatic with the success of their newest handset, as it has proved much more popular than the original iPhone which took 74 days to sell its first million handsets!  With the popularity of the 3G iPhone still growing and the hype showing no signs of dying down, we think the next million 3G iPhones will fly off the shelves just as quickly!

Unfortunately since its release on Friday the 3G iPhone has encountered nothing but problems.  Stores were hit by a shortage of handsets, there have been issues that have affected iTunes and O2’s registration system experienced failures and delays.  But despite all of the problems customers are far from being put off purchasing the funky new touch screen handset!

Apple has confirmed that 800 applications are available from their App Stores with 200 offered for free.  Apple have also announced that 10 million applications have already been downloaded from the iPhone App Store, so it looks like new iPhone users are personalising and making good use of their new handsets!

Blue Earth is Samsung’s Latest Green Touch Screen Phone

By: Simon Drew | 23/11/2009
We all know (or should) by now the imperatives of “reduce, reuse, recycle” philosophy. However, when it comes to gadgets and electronics, being environment-friendly and responsible is not quite an easy task. Most manufacturers do not have the necessary infrastructure and mindset for a more responsible production and waste management systems. Consumers and users too do not have the necessary means and support to live up to the ideals of green living.
