Avail Multiple Benefits of Contract Phones and Pay as You Go Phones

You can use the services of any network provider in two ways - by acquiring a pay as you go ( Payg ) phone or by acquiring a contract phone. Both types of these handsets have their own unique benefits and advantages. To own a contract phones the user will have to sign an agreement with a mobile network provider of his choice. This agreement has a fixed period of time of operation. This time could be of 12 months (or one year ), 18 months and 24 months or two years. The user is offered his choicest handset either free of cost or at nominal cost. So, this plan makes it possible for one to own a high end handset which otherwise was not possible for him or her to acquire.

The owner is required to pay a fixed minimum monthly rental. In addition to that, the person will be billed in accordance with the time for which he or she used the services of the network provider for making calls, sending sms, access mobile internet etc. But the scheme has its own share of benefits as well. The user of these phones are provided highly subsidised call rates, free SMS & MMS, some free talk time, free handset, free insurance of the gadget and free accessories etc. So, all these benefits make contract phones a highly viable choice for those users who need heavy usage of their phones.

Pay as you go phones have a totally different criteria. To own such a phone, one need not sign any contract with any network provider. One has to buy his own choice of handset. Thereafter, the person will have to activate his pay as you go phones by calling the executive of a network provider of his choice. Initially, the individual will have to purchase a phone card so that he may credit some initial talk time balance in his phone. Once this balance is credited to his phone (which is done instantly ), the user to free to make calls to his friends and family members. Every time the user makes a call, some call amount is deducted from her or his phone balance.

So, the user always knows that how much amount is remaining in his handset to use. If the balance nears zero, he can purchase a new phone card of some appropriate value and again credit some amount to his account. In this way, the user has full control over his expenses. This type of plan is appropriate for students and teenagers who have limited amount of money at their disposal.

The above discussion on contract phones vs pay as you go phones makes it clear that both types of gadgets have their own benefits. They are useful to a spectrum of people that belong to different economic backgrounds. Leading manufacturers like Nokia, LG, Samsung, Motorola etc. and network providers like O2, Virgin and T-Mobile are offering their handsets & services under both of these plans. For example, one can have Nokia N96 under these plans.

This new slider phone from Nokia has a Qwerty keyboard, a 5 mega pixel camera and 3.5 inches wide display that can show pictures in 16 million colours. IT has a FM radio with RDS, AGPS, music player, embedded java games, and it also recognises voice commands. It also has support for Bluetooth, EDGE and 3G HSDPA. This all new Nokia N97 can be acquired under both contract phones & pay as you go phones plans.
