Many of the models currently available are from Chinese brands, such as CECT, JINCEN and Ming Xing.  Dual SIM phones purchased from China are completely unlocked, which adds to the flexibility for users.  Unlocked phones can be used with SIM cards from any mobile carrier in any country around the world (provided they use Quad Band frequencies 850/900/1800/1900MHz).  Users can combine SIM cards from two different mobile carriers within a country, or two SIM cards from different countries.  This makes it easy to share service plans with family or friends, even if they are committed to a different carrier than your employer.  It also makes frequent international travel easier than ever before.

The latest Dual SIM phones come packed with features, including touch screens, MP3 players, Internet connectivity, and TV reception.  Mobile phones with all of this capability can be purchased from a China wholesale electronics company for around $100 - far less than the price of name brand phones with comparable features.
