Cases and Skins for Blackberry Storm 2

An online poll was conducted and 70% of the respondents said that cases and other protective gears are the first accessories that the new Blackberry Storm 2 will have in their mobile arsenal.

True enough, the delicate electronic work packed inside the new Storm need protection as they are easily damaged if they get wet, dropped or exposed to other elements. Users make decision on the choice of case with varying persuasions. While device protection is at the core, added features such as being fashionable and convenience in handling. There are in fact some cases that have less mundane and useful functions such as automatic power down or power off detectors that helps preserve battery life when the phone is not in use.

Fashion

Electronic gadgets have now become must have accessories for many. It is now quite common to match the color of your mobile or its case with your bag or outfit. Fortunately, there are hard cases now available that comes in a variety of colors from hot red to soothing pink to striking deep blue. There is also a tote bag that comes in a fashionable multi color flap and padded design, and has detachable wrist strap and magnetic button closure. This piece allows you to protect your mobile in designer style.

Protection and Functionality

Among the most popular are the leather cases as a number of brands carry a lot of functional yet handy models. They are also the most expensive. There is the Blackberry Horizontal Pouch designed to protect the phone and the camera lens from bumps and scratches. It has a battery-saving proximity sensor that turns of the screen backlight when the phone is slid inside the case. The sensor also allows for automatic notification settings (for ringing, vibration, tone) based on whether the phone is in or out of the case. As many people put their phones in vibration mode once they are inside the case, this feature is very useful indeed, though it comes with a handsome price tag.

There are also lesser priced models that protect your mobile enough to make them last as long as you need. They come in a variety of colors and shapes that make them more exciting and add character to your gadget.

Hard core protection comes with the hard cases. Though most are not comfortable carrying around cases that are not flexible enough to fit in small bags and pockets, hard cases are sought after by those who travel and stay outdoors a lot. Many of them have additional bump and shock absorption features that makes them ideal for rough handling and accidental bumps. Models with audio jack and USB ports are also available. Some even offers full device functionality without taking your unit outside of its case.

Waterproof It

Even in extreme situations, case makers now have models that help you solve your problem. There is the OverBoard Waterproof Case for Blackberry Storm 2. This allows you to make a call even when you are soaking wet! Once sealed, the case is guaranteed submersible up to 6 meters and also protect from other elements such as dust, sand and dirt. It has a soft matte transparent frontage that allows you to see and use the screen even in wet conditions. This could be your phone’s perfect match for your next adventure.
