If you are going to buy a lower specification model, you should never expect it to perform tasks a high tech phone can. It's like buying a huge top-of-the-range SUV that only gets used once a year; if you only need a phone that makes and receives calls a basic model will be enough.
Call only facilities would be very unusual on today's cheap cellular phones, on even the most very basic but if that is all you need then you won't mind. Then of course you need to check the reception of your cell phone, since this is the only thing it is good for, it has to at least be able to carry out this basic function.
Just about every around model around the world can send text messages but don't expect it to have the same functionality of more exotic models. Finding a phone that has a good text messaging capacity, will be better for you.
Sending and receiving emails may not be available but then you do not need it much anyway. However, if you do need to send and receive messages on your cellular phone from internet sites, a cheap cellular phone probably won't be any good.
From time to time, you will see really good cell phone plan deal advertised, so why not wait for one of these and get a more expensive phone as part of the package. Most network companies have these promotions on cell phone plans from time to time so it will be worth considering if you would prefer a better phone. If you can find a good deal from a provider, you will not need to content yourself with an inferior phone.
Don't forget that no matter what you intend to buy or services you intend to use, that good honest online research is the key to its success and if you are working to a budget it can make the difference between success and failure.
