Check out the tiniest, most play with-able, and pocket-able phone ever; the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini! This cute little Android powered device sports a very bright 2.55inch QVGA touch screen and utilises a minimized version of there successful TimeScape overlay, the Japanese-Swedish tag team have really put there heads together to produce the smallest Android Smartphone ever made. The X10 Mini has a built-in digital camera, Bluetooth, a 3.5mm jack and a FM radio tuner.

The phones miniature dimensions are 83 x 60 x 16mm and it only weighs 88g, despite these tiny measurements Sony Ericsson have managed to pack in tons of technology. The phone comes in loads of funky colours, proving that Sony Ericsson have focused this phone on there younger buyers, the screen boasts an accelerometer which allows you to use the X10 Mini in landscape mode, this is handy for messaging and web browsing as both can be a little cramped on the small screen, Sony Ericsson has also given there X10 Mini a four-corner home screen where you can customize which icons you want in each corner of the screen, you can make shortcuts to the web browser, messaging or even your social networks.

A portion of Sony Ericsson's TimeScape user interface was all that was needed for this adorable little handset; it integrates your social networks and other communications into one easy to access overview; status updates, tweets, e-mails, messages and calls are all logged and placed in sequential order, this means you only need one application to check out all of your communications with contacts. The intuitive overlay also lets you multi task with out any major effect to the phones general performance, you can browse the web while messaging friends or play games while listening to your favourite radio station.

The WebKit browser has been slightly altered to fit on the X10 Mini, it supports standard controls for pan and zoom functions and page bookmarking; there is also support for basic graphics and video. The Xperia X10 Mini is fully integrated with the ever popular YouTube; a dedicated application is in place for you to view and upload videos, the client works quite well and despite the mini screen size videos play very nicely thanks to the QVGA resolution. The phones surprising online functionality wouldn't be possible if it wasn't for the high speed Wi Fi and turbo 3G network connections, they both supply the X10 Mini with fast reliable connectivity.

The Android operating system loads the X10 Mini with Google applications, including YouTube, Google Talk provides you with Instant Messaging and Gmail is on of many email providers you use in the built-in e-mail client, Google have also supplied the X10 Mini with navigational support in the form of Google Maps, it works best when on collaboration with the A-GPS and the phone is also equipped with turn-by-turn navigation with the WisePilot feature. The Android Market is by far the best Google addition to the phone; you have full access to loads and loads of downloadable apps, themes, games and wallpapers to completely personalize your own X10 Mini experience.

As with every phone these days the X10 Mini is equipped with a 5 mega pixel camera which will handle both your day-to-day snaps and your mini film making, it has flash, auto focus and geo-tagging. Sony Ericsson have thrown in a very good music player and its supported by an expandable memory, the microSD slot can take a maximum of 16GB, giving you tons of storage space for all of your videos, photos and songs. Sony Ericsson have also made the PlayNow Arena available so you can download music direct to your music player, you can also download games from here.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini will be one of the most appealing devices on the market; this is mainly down to its tiny size and colour variety but its Smartphone functionality will play its part too. The phone has a surprisingly high performance, so do we call it the "Giant Killer" or is it punching above its weight.

    Overall the Sony Ericsson X10 Mini is an adorable little kitten that gives you full Smartphone functionality with top draw messaging and entertainment trimmings, the TimeScape feature translates well onto the smaller handset and the phones general appearance is appealing and enchanting, there are heaps of add-ons for personalization not to mention the inter-changeable casing.
