First of all, modern technology has created various means of transportation for us. Buses, train, planes and taxis are available in most cities around the world. So we can go the other city very easy, as well as to other country. Those transport tools carry goods and passengers to and from every corner of the world. Take me for example, I moved out from my hometown and worked in this city last year. And I met two classmates in my company recently and we didn't meet each other for around 3 years before. All of us cried out, "what a small world!"
Secondly, more and more communication tools are produced to connect people closely. Comparing with table telephone, mobile phone brings more convenience for our connection. Mobile phones become smaller and affordable. Every people have a mobile on hand in the street and we can talk with each other all over the world directly. Wherever you lost, you get help by mobile immediately.
Another good communication tool is computer. We can chat with friends on computer; it is even cheaper than talking by mobile. And we can talk face to face by both mobile and computer very easily. For example, businessmen send an email to their cooperator on line, and don't need to wait for a letter from post office for a few days or even a month in the past. And we can get all the information on line instead of newspapers.
So although living in different countries and far away from each other, we are really living in a global village due to we can reach each other so easily. And we believe the world will become smaller and smaller with the high fast developing of technology.
