Going Multimedia Mad on the Sony Ericsson Satio

Just this October, Sony Ericsson unleashed their latest Smartphone on the market. After eight long months of hopeful anticipation since it was officially announced, the Sony Ericsson Satio has finally hit store shelves. There is no doubt that this Smartphone’s claim to fame is its ground-breaking built-in camera which happens to be the most powerful snapper in the industry. However, that’s not all she wrote for the new Satio. Aside from an impressive set of features and functions, what takes the Satio a cut above the rest is its success in integrating Smart features and a myriad of enjoyable multimedia functions that are simply awe-inspiring.

The Sony Ericsson Mark

Ever since, Sony Ericsson has been one of the pioneers in mobile phone multimedia features. They have always been the ones who set the bar for other manufacturers to match. All we’d have to do is to look back to as early as 2004 when we were first introduced to both the Cyber-Shot and the Walkman Series of mobile phone. For those who were born yesterday, the Cyber-Shot Series featured a set of mobile phones that specialized in mobile imaging, taking its cue from the Sony Cyber-Shot camera technology.

On the other hand, the Walkman Series of devices integrated one of the most popular technologies from the 80s into a modern day mobile phone. The result – in both cases, that is – was a highly successful combination of a mastered product and cutting edge technology.

And now, with the new Satio, Sony Ericsson intends to revitalized its glory by coming out with a device that once again sets its own rules.

Best in the Biz

What the Satio intends to use in order to reach the heights set by its predecessors is none other than its 12-Megapixel camera. If this sounds crazy to you it’s because it actually is – in an awesomely good way, though. If in the past we were amazed by the imaging capabilities of the Sony Ericsson K800i which had a 3-Megapixel camera, then surely we would be flabbergasted by a device was 4 times more powerful.

However, it’s not all about Megapixel power for the Satio’s camera. Also on board is a myriad of fun and functional features which include the likes of autofocus, dual flashes (Xenon and LED), geo-tagging, touch focus, and smile and face detection.

Music and Video

Aside from having the best camera in the entire mobile phone industry, the Satio can also serve as an excellent means of watching your favourite videos and listening to your most adored tunes. The user-friendly audio and video players are compatible with nearly all popular media file types such as 3GP, MP4, RV, and WMV for videos, and M4A, AAC, RA, WAV, WMA, and MP3 for audio files.

You can also count on the Sony Ericsson Satio’s screen to provide you with the best quality imaging outputs as this 5.3-inch touch screen display has a pixel resolution of 360 x 640, and is capable of displaying up to 16 million different colours.

With so many Sony Ericsson Satio contracts on offer it can be hard to know which to go for. Moby1 can help by comparing all the mobile deals on offer, and they also have many phone reviews.
