Mobile phones are getting better, continually. Every week, some new handset comes out that is set to impress the masses, whether it's with a fantastic design that'll be the envy of all your friends or access to the biggest and best new apps to download from the internet. Constant improvements are being made both in design, usability and capabilities - but, as most of us in the Western world already have mobile phones, what would it take for us to upgrade?

You may have a mobile phone that you use all the time, or perhaps barely at all - but how satisfied are you with its capabilities? Is the reason you barely use it because you find its functions difficult to get to grips with or, worse, poorly-designed and annoying? Or do you use it plenty because it's a great handset that really makes working your way around its programmes simple? Or perhaps it's not that great, but you just need to use a mobile phone often due to the nature of your work or free time habits.

Different people have different needs when it comes to their mobiles. Many are content to simply have a device from which they can send and receive text messages, make a phone call from and for use as a back-up in case of emergency. Others, however, use their phones as a means by which they stay connected with the world, utilising its wares to keep in touch with others via social networking on the web, texts, calls, video, sharing stats on apps and a whole range of other things. Some people need their phones to be capable of running several things at once - and some people need their phones to be a pocket sized computer.

Whatever type of mobile phone you have, owning your handset will only be a pleasure if you're truly satisfied with it. So ask yourself - am I satisfied with my phone? Does it do everything I want and need it to do, or is it lacking in some areas I'd prefer it to be better in? Am I getting the most for what I pay to keep using it?

It could be the case that it's time to switch from contracts to http://www.tesco.com/mobilenetwork/tariff.aspx?page=8">pay as you go mobiles, or upgrade to a new phone in order to feel happier with what you've got. Then again, it could just be the case that you're satisfied with your mobile - in which case, enjoy it.
