Are you looking for a new mobile phone? If so why not check out the HTC Touch Diamond today. Or take a look at any of our other mobile phone deals
As the new flagship of HTC, it is expected that the HTC Diamond should carry the very latest in technology, coupled with a few extras. What may not have been expected however is just how stunning those 'few extras' would end up being. In an age when most mobile phone manufacturers are tweaking their interfaces, making them more interactive and coming up with improved features that will draw customers to them, the HTC Diamond seems to be setting a new standard.
Features of the HTC Diamond
Ignoring the design for a moment, the HTC Diamond sports what they call TouchFlo 3D technology. When using the HTC Diamond, it becomes apparent almost immediately what the TouchFlo 3D actually is; a completely new type of user interface feature. Basically put, it affects everything about the interface, and gives a completely new freedom to accessing features within the HTC Diamond, whether it is in the form of messaging services, music, photos, or even the weather.
With smooth, animated looks and transitions, the TouchFlo 3D not only provides a new sort of accessibility, but it also looks great while doing so. A column of side buttons on the right and a row at the bottom really ease the process of switching too and from functions. Although being fully proficient at controlling what can be achieved with the TouchFlo 3D may take time, that's only a testament to just how in-depth and completely comprehensive the system is.
Another cool feature is the orientation sensor that lets the mobile phone know which way it is pointing. With this used in conjunction with other applications, it allows for the Diamond's screen to switch orientation according to what direction it is being held. Furthermore, something like muting the phone only requires that it be turned face-down, adding a lot of convenience.
Internet browsing is another area in which the HTC Diamond shines in, and its custom browser really does meet most demands. Entire pages can be displayed, and then sections zoomed in to at will, making browsing on a mobile platform possible without the customary inconvenience. As an addition, there is even an application allowing listing and browsing of YouTube videos, easily locating and playing whatever is desired.
With 4GB internal storage, there is no microSD card slot, which really isn't too big a deal as 4GB is about as much as an average person would use anyway. There is even a 3.2 megapixel camera for any imaging needs, and HSPDA as well as HSUPA wireless for internet connectivity.
Everything about the HTC Diamond is completely top class. It may not offer revolutionary features in terms of media or camera functions, but the user interface alone is nothing less than revolutionary. By breaking ground and allowing its customers new and greater command of how they control the mobile phone, the HTC Diamond is both easy to use and yet mind-bogglingly complex in nature. Comparing well against similar phones, it is certainly one of those mobile phone deals that merits consideration.
