The HTC Touch Diamond sports 3.15 MP VGA camera with a size of 2048 by 1536 pixels it may not be a 5 MP camera like the Samsung Omnia but its quality is good enough. Images captured can be displayed on the mobile phone’s 2.8 inches screen display. Images and photos can still hold its quality when printed. The screen display makes web browsing much easier and viewing photos.

The Diamond also has an auto focus for a clearer and more consistent capturing of photos. Viewing images in landscape and portrait is much easier through accelerometer. Accelerometer works when the phone is in a landscape position the screen automatically shifts to landscape position as well.

A secondary camera is also located at the front panel of the phone used for video calling. Though, the front camera has a lower quality when taking pictures comparing it to camera at the back panel of the mobile phone. To capture pictures in the dark HTC Touch Diamond is also equipped with a flash for these situations.

Image can be edited through the mobile phone’s simple image editing software. The camera might not be its main feature but a good camera does matter nowadays to capture important and fun moments. It does still puts up a good fight with other smartphones that sports 5 MP camera because the quality of the images only has small difference.

Captured images can be zoomed in and out for a closer look and even if the images are zoomed in at its fullest the image does not break up and still retains its quality. Though, it has low contrast levels and color balance is not always right.
