The HTC Touch Diamond has been available since May 2008 In Hong Kong and through most European carriers in June. It will be available in September through American carriers Sprint and Verizon. This model includes a 2.8 inch LCD touch screen. The phone also includes a 3.2 megapixel VGA camera, Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional and an internal flash. The HTC Touch Diamond is also known as the HTC P3700 and is in the classification of a Pocket PC. The HTC Touch Diamond is the first device that features the TouchFLO3D, an upgraded version of the TouchFLO interface. The HTC Touch Diamond replaces the HTC Touch.
The HTC Touch Diamond comes with a version of Opera that was specially designed for this device. With tabbed browsing and the availability of landscape modes, this improves the way you look at internet web pages and improves zoom features. The device is obviously quite popular already as one million units were shipped in six weeks compared to the five months it took the HTC Touch to reach one million sales. These early sales have caused HTC to raise its original sales projections for 2008 to three million.
The age of the Pocket PC has arrived-or rather has continued to expand-and thus the need for devices such as the HTC Touch Diamond remains in demand. It certainly helps that the device is of high quality and includes the touch screen that many mobile phone users are beginning to prefer. Whether the touch screen is better than a menu-driven operation is hard to say-at this point it appears to be one of personal preference. Depending on the resolution and contrast of the screen, older people or those with weak eyes may have trouble operating the touch screen in bright sunlight, but in most cases, the touch screen is likely to be easier to operate.
The HTC Touch Diamond is definitely an improvement in the area of the Pocket PC. Anyone who takes the time to read a HTC Touch Diamond Review will discover that this phone is high on the list of 3G phones and technology. Although still in its early stage of sales, the sales projections are high, and with those one is likely to see mobile phone deals in order to draw even more customers into the phone stores to purchase this newest offering from HTC. One of the key factors is its extensive capabilities which will help both the business person and the individual needing to access the Internet from their telephone device.
The choice you make in a Pocket PC will determine the level of quality you will experience, and with the HTC Touch Diamond you will see the quality in the operation of the phone and all the functions that are incorporated within the phone whether it's the need to take photographs with the camera, use the Internet or just to stay in touch with business or personal contacts.
