The much anticipated latest release from the Nokia N-Series has finally arrived on UK shores, the Nokia N78 is the latest in a long line of candy-bar format phones from the manufacturers showcase range.
The UK network O2 have now picked up this new handset which is important new for consumers as up until now the N78 has only been available as a SIM free handset. Now that it has been launched on O2 with pay monthly contract deals consumers can expect far better deals for their money.
Rather than having to buy the Nokia N78 outright with no network subsidies as with SIM free handset sales consumers can now choose one of O2's contract tariffs to suit their usage requirements and benefit from subsidised prices that mean that the handset can now be obtained free of charge with an average monthly line rental charge.
Connecting to a pay monthly tariff means that users can take advantage of bundles minutes and text messages, this is a drastically cheaper way of owning the new Nokia N78 when compared to buying as a SIM free phone.
A symbian s60 3rd edition phone but the first to with Feature Pack 2, the Nokia N78 demands a huge amount of respect for what it can do.For starters there's the integrated Advanced GPS satellite navigation system which not only gives directions by car but on foot as well.
Then there's the 3.2 mega pixel camera that will guarantee high quality images with its Carl Zeiss optics and autofocus function, but the N78 will even tag photo's using capture location metadata enabling the user to then view the capture location on a map, with the choice of either viewing online or direct on the device itself.
This kind of technology is what's referred to as 'Geotagging' and the N Series handset are the perfect platform for showing it off.
The 70MB internal memory can thankfully be increased up to 8GB using microSD expansion which will be absolutely necessity.
Music entertainment is available with the onboard MP3 Player and Nokia Internet Radio with internal speakers and support for 3.5mm headphones ensuring the delivery of high quality sound.
HSDPA 3G and WiFi both offer high speed internet connections for uploading images and video clips direct to YouTube, downloading files onto your PC, checking emails, shopping online or keeping up to date with the latest news and sports headlines, weather and financial forecasts.
But whatever you choose to do, the choice is endless with the Nokia N78.
The N78 is also being bundles with a number of free gifts when connecting to O2 pay monthly tariffs, consumers can choose from a free Nintendo Wii console, iPod Touch, Playstation 3 or even an LCD HD Ready TV which can all be redeemed by a voucher system.
Although priginally released as a SIM free free and now available on O2, the Nokia N78 this is not a network exclusive launch and the handset will shortly start to appear on other UK network tariffs making it far easier to find the right package to suit a users usage requirements.
