The Nokia 6300 is a simple mono-block handset with minimalistic design. The handset is Nokia's first take on slim phones – a concept popularized by Motorola Razor family. Unlike RAZR clamshells, the Nokia 6300 is of candy-bar form measuring just 11.7 mm. The handset weighs just a shade over 90 grams, making it very easy for one to carry it in any pocket without the slightest discomfort. The Nokia 6300 comes in a stainless steel casing with a glossy black section around the screen and on the reverse of the handset.

16 million coloured TFT based display used in the Nokia 6300 is one of the best in the business. Images produced are sharp with true to life colours and they do not fade out even in bright sunlight. The screen doubles up as a full screen viewfinder when the Nokia 6300 is in camera mode. The integrated 2.0 megapixel camera of the Nokia 6300 is capable of capturing sharp images with resolution as high as up to 1600x1200. You may opt to record videos with the Nokia 6300 and share them with friends and family via MMS and Emails.

The Nokia 6300 supports triband GSM mobile networks and changes band automatically. Apart from seamless voice network coverage across the globe, the Nokia 6300 has the ability to keep its user connected by other means. On board class 10 EDGE and GPRS technology of the Nokia 6300 allows one to have quick access to the internet with data speeds of up to 236.8 kbps. The phone has a built in WAP 2.0/xHTML browser for quick search and even quicker downloads. The mobile phone has about 7.8 Mb of internal memory which is expandable p to 2GB with external memory card. You can put in all your favourite tracks to be played on the built in media player. In case you don't have songs downloaded, with the Nokia 6300, you can always tune in to your favourite FM radio station to grab your share of entertainment.
