Nokia have pre-loaded the C6 with multiple social network features!

Nokia's new QWERTY handset, the C6 is a sophisticated messaging tool with a sideways slide out keyboard. Nokia have focused this model on the young message hungry crowd with hopes it will compete with the likes of Motorola's Backflip Smartphone. This device is available in either black or white; it has dedicated social network applications and an e-mail client for the serious messaging customers.

The Nokia C6 is a handsome phone; it has a 3.2 inch TFT touch screen which is full of clarity and intelligibility, the screen is very receptive and acts as the primary navigation tool, the phone has a few physical buttons aside from the keyboard, the call, end and main action buttons are neatly lined under the screen, the volume rocker and camera button are located on the side of the chassis. The nHD display is capable of displaying up to 16.7 million and has a team of sensors including the orientation and proximity sensors which support the auto rotate feature. The device runs the 9.4 version of the Symbian operating system and benefits from an S60 5th edition overlay which provides the phone with its professional looking menus and easy controls. Nokia have pre-loaded some social network applications into the software of the C6, these include dedicated apps for Facebook, Hi5 and MySpace, but sites like Twitter can also be managed through the phones network connectivity. Various e-mail accounts can be handled through the C6, Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo! Mail and Windows Live are all compatible, this means that no matter where you are or what you are doing you are always a finger swipe away from your inbox.

Among the Ovi services which you get as standard Nokia have given you there free messaging service called Ovi Mail, this is a free service which enables you to contact other Nokia users with the service for zero cost! Ovi also delivers a well thought out package with the Ovi store for extra apps, themes and games, the Ovi Maps feature gives you route planning with detailed maps and weather updates, Ovi also offer a Music Store where you can download tunes from the latest and biggest artists and finally Ovi Contacts which lets you keep up to date with your friends latest goings on! The C6 has pretty good web connectivity, whether you connect via the speedy and dependable 3G network or via a local wireless hotspot you will get steadfast browsing experience to rival any. The browser supports touch control, java and flash video; you can even view YouTube videos straight from the browser without opening a separate application.

The 5 mega pixel camera housed by the C6 comes fully equipped with LED flash, auto focus and geo-tagging, there is a 4x digital zoom and a secondary camera is in place for video calling. The main camera is capable of recording 16:9 videos at 30 frames per second and it has various light control and editing tools so you can create the perfect video clip ready for upload via the phones main video hub. Like all Nokia's the C6 has a built-in FM radio receiver and a specialized PC suite called Nokia Music Manager which can be used via the USB port located on the chassis, these support the phones music centre, a variety of audio formats can be supported and the 3.5mm jack allows you to use your own personal headphones to listen, the speakers send out a pretty good sound which has a heavy bass and smooth top and mid frequencies. Bluetooth technology has been thrown in for wireless device links and file transfers between compatible phones

The gods of Nokia have blessed the C6 with sublime messaging, communication and entertainment features and with the Ovi store the phone can be fully customized to meet your own needs. The Nokia C6 will be a useful addition to anybodies pocket/handbag.
