Nokia N78 on Pay as You Go Uk, N-series N78 Nokia Phone

The latest N-Series handset to be released is now being offered as a Pay As You Go mobile phone, the Nokia N78 was first launched as a SIM free handset just days ago allowing consumers to simply insert their current SIM card to retain their mobile number. Shortly after the N78 was then made available on O2 contract deals for the first time providing a range of tariffs with free allocated minutes and text messages that consumers could sign a contract for.

Now though, the new Nokia N78 has been launched as a Pay As You Go phone, this is good news for those who struggle to pass the network credit checks to gain a contract phone as they can now simply top up their calling credit as and when needed rather than have to outlay an ongoing monthly line rental charge.

This is also convenient for anyone still within their minimum term contract period as they can now buy the Nokia N78 on the same network as thier existing SIM card and continue using their current mobile number. If they are on a different network the customer can then opt to have their phone unlocked.

A general rule of thumb when trying to decide whether to buy a mobil ephone on pay as you go or contract is to work out your average monthly usage, if it equates to more than a couple of minutes per day then nine times out of ten it will be cheaper to be on a contarct deal rather than a prepay deal as the minutes and text messages cost far more on the pay as you go system.

In other words, pay as you go is a good idea for those that either use their phone for emergencies only or are liekly to use the other features covered below more than calling and texting.

It is surprising to see such a high specification N-Series device being offered so early on in its release as a pay as you go phone especially before it has made it onto other UK networks, it opens up the markets considerably making the phone far more accessible to a widere range of consumers.

Although the Nokia N78 does not offer the highest specification mobile phone camera form the N-Series range it does include some extremely uiseful features not found in other models, the N78 is a candy bar format phone which provides a real alternative to the Nokia N95 8GB that is currently dominating the N-Series range.

The Nokia N78 mobile phone has blended a wide range of features to produce a surprisingly versatile handset, inside there is a GPS receiver with on-screen maps, a 3.2 megapixel camera, an expandable memory and a music player, along with WiFi and 3G internet connectivity.

It's smart, but what's really clever is the way these services work together. The camera doesn't just take high-quality photos but can also 'geotag' them with a users location, making it simple for them to track exactly where they took each of their images. The music player has a built-in transmitter that'll send music to any FM radio - perfect for the car or for a home stereo system, in fact, the Nokia N78 could be the only travelling companion a consumer needs.

The handset has initially been released in a black casing, and is only curently availble on O2 contract deals, however there are to be more colour variants announced soon aswell as further network launches in the near future.

As more networks pick up the Nokia N78 there will be a far wider tariff choice for consumers to match their exact usage requirements, unless they can currently find an exact match it is advisable to wait for other network operators to pick up this new phone.

Although this slider phone is sleek and sexy on the outside, it suffers from a cramped keypad that's difficult to navigate even for the smallest h...
